Former interior minister Nisar has said that Army had no role in the ouster of Nawaz Sharif from prime ministership.

According to a television website, the former federal minister was of the view that any confrontation with judiciary will not yield any political benefits to PML-N.

"Unnecessary confrontation with Army can also weaken our position," Nisar was quoted as saying.
