The month of Ramazan is such a glorious month that many historical events took place during this month mainly including the revelation of Quran, the battle of Badr, the conquest of Makkah and many others.
It is also said that the Master of the Months is Ramazan, and the Master of the days is Friday. During this month the prayers and fasting reward is much superior than fasting or prayers in other months.
The middle Ashra of Ramadan is the time for Maghfirah; the time to wash off our sins. In this regard, the second Ashra of Ramadan is known for forgiveness. Ramazan is the month to seek Forgiveness and repentance. Having witnessed the Mercy of Allah (SWT) by thanking Him for all that He has granted us, by being good to everyone and keeping ourselves at peace, we realize our relationship with our Rabb, and our role and duties towards Him. This is the time when Mercy of Allah’s (SWT) is at its peak, and it is best to utilize this opportunity by begging Allah to forgive our sins.
Dua for 2nd Ashra:
“Astaghfirullaha Rabbi Min Kulli Zambin Wa Atoobu Ilaih.â€
I seek Allah’s forgiveness for all my sins, Who is Lord, and I ask for repentance.
It is necessary for Muslims to think about these elements in these days of Repentance even more than any other days and this is the time we seek forgiveness and do rectifications for our mistakes, determined not to do them again. The Muslims should do Tauba over and over again, regularly and honestly for Allah loves our Tauba, and particularly during this Ashra Allah loves to forgive and loves those who seek forgiveness. Furthermore, the act of seeking forgiveness from Allah S.W.T is not just an effort of human being but in fact Allah returns the favor by forgiving such a person. In Quran, He says:
“And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.â€
