GROS-ISLET, Saint Lucia: Afghanistan defeated the West Indies by 63 runs in the first fixture of a three-match One-Day International series at the Daren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia on Friday.

Afghanistan made 212 for six with the West Indies 149 all out off 44.4 overs.
