ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Wednesday rejected the Securities and Exchange Commission Pakistan (SECP) and the State Bank of Pakistan's (SBP) nominees for a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing Panamagate case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his sons, Aaj News reported.Â
According to the reports, the special bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan rejected the names of officials nominated by the SBP and SECP to be a part of the JIT. Â They did not meet the court's requirements, the bench said.
The court directed the SECP chairman and SBP governor to appear in the next hearing which will take place on Friday.
