SC's decision a victory for Premier Nawaz Sharif, PML (N)

Speaking to newsmen after announcement of the verdict, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that court's decision has vindicated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's stance of establishing a joint investigation commission to probe the matter.

He said the apex court today exclusively established that the evidences presented before the court were insufficient.

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said the judgment is victory of democracy and people of Pakistan.

He said the judgment reflects that the failed politicians who intended to derail democracy have once again been defeated.

Ahsan Iqbal said PTI that continuously propagated against the Prime Minister in the form of Dharnas and agitating politics has been miserably failed to derail democracy as the court declined its plea to denotify Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Railways Minister Saad Rafique said that the government would respect the court decision and fully cooperate with JIT.

He said that it is victory of Nawaz Sharif his team, and democracy loving people of Pakistan.

Recording her impressions for Radio Pakistan, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb said the judgment of the court is in line with the stance adopted by PML (N).

She said the Prime Minister had offered JIT so that there is transparency in investigations. She expressed the confidence that investigations of JIT would endorse the viewpoint of PML (N) and the Prime Minister.

Spokesman of the Prime Minister Musadik Malik expressed satisfaction over pronouncement of the verdict and said the opposition should have no objection to formation of the JIT.

In a tweet message, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz congratulated the nation on Supreme Court's decision of not disqualifying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case.

Counsel for Prime Minister's sons Salman Akram Raja said that majority decision is the real decision of the court.

He said the court has decided to go for investigations, which was our plea from the very beginning.

He said dissenting notes are no more than personal opinions.
