ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) CEO on Thursday directed authorities to blacklist passengers for violating a no-smoking rule on a Birmingham-bound flight and misbehaving with cabin crew, Aaj News reported.Â
According to the reports, PIA CEO Nayyar Hayat directed the authorities to bar passengers with immediate effect, who smoked on flight PK-791 from Islamabad to Birmingham.
“The concerned passengers were not only smoking on the flight but also misbehaved with cabin crew,†PIA spokesperson said in a statement.
According to the airline sources, a group of five men of Pakistani origin were travelling together on flight PK-791 from Islamabad to Birmingham on Wednesday. During the flight, they tried to violate the flight rules and allegedly started smoking in the lavatory.
An air hostess confronted the men over their action but they began misbehaving with her. One man in particular hurled verbal abuse at the flight attendant, sources claimed.
