Imam-e-Kaaba delivers Friday sermon at JUI-F centenary celebrations

NOWSHERA: Centenary celebrations of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) began on Friday where Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammad Bin Ibrahim delivered a sermon preceding Friday prayers in Azakhel area of Nowshera, Aaj News reported. 

While delivering Friday sermon, Imam Ka'aba Sheikh Saleh Muhammad Bin Talib has urged Ulema to promote unity and harmony among Muslims to effecitvely confront the contemporary challenges.

Imam-e-Ka'aba said Islam is a religion of peace and it discourages sectarianism. He appealed to the Muslims to follow the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah to get success in this world and the life after death.

Imam-e-Kha'a also led the Jumma prayer.

Earlier, addressing a function arranged in connection with the centenary celebrations of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Saudi Minister for Religious Affairs Saleh Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Muhammad Al-Sheikh expressed satisfaction over growing relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in different fields, including defence, economy and politics.

JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, in his address, stressed the need for resolution of Kashmir and Palestine disputes and restoration of peace in Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen.

He called for collective efforts to overcome terrorism.

Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh Bin Ibrahim arrived in Peshawar on Thursday afternoon to attend the centenary celebrations of JUI-F starting on Friday at Azakhel in district Nowshera.

Naib Imam-e-Kaaba accompanied by Saudi Minister for Religious Affairs Saleh Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh was received by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf at Peshawar Airport. -Radio Pakistan / Aaj News
