KARACHI: The Advocate General (AG) Sindh's petition regarding removal of AD Khawaja has been rejected by Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday, Aaj News reported.Â
According to reports, the two-member bench chaired by Justice Muneeb Akhter heard the case of removal of AD Khawaja as Inspector General of Police (IGP) A.D. Khawaja.
Sources further revealed about the court orders that, "AD Khawaja to pursue as IGP Sindh till final announcement".
Earlier on Wednesday, the Sindh Cabinet  gave approval for the removal of Inspector General of Police (IGP) A.D. Khawaja.
According to sources, a session of the Sindh Cabinet was held under Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah.
The cabinet also approved the appointment of Additional IG Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti as the provincial police chief reportedly.
Earlier this week, the Sindh High Court had suspended a notification issued by the Sindh government for the removal of the IGP.
