ISLAMABAD : An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale rocked Malakand, Swat, Upper Dir, Lower SwatDir and adjoining areas on early Wednesday morning.

According to private news channel, People came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of life was reported. According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the epicenter of the quake which was located 49 km northwest of Chitral at the depth of 100 kilometre.-APP
