'Army chief stands by democracy', says Khan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa stands by democracy and this is a good news, Aaj News reported.

PTI chief was speaking at an event about PTI's Billion Tree Tsunami project. Hours after the military tweeted about a meeting between Imran Khan and COAS, Khan said at the occasion, "The good news is that this army chief stands by democracy."

The event was discussing PTI's climate change initiative. During the event, Khan was promptly asked a question about his yesterday's meeting with Army Chief.  "If I respond to this in detail, the headlines will be dominated by this and no one will talk about climate change", Khan responded back with a smile.
