Another child maid abuse case surfaces in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: After Tayyaba, another 11-year-old child maid was recovered with visible torture marks Friday night from a house in E-11 area of the capital, Aaj News reported.

According to the reports, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered under Section 154 at the Golra Police Station on a complaint filed by the girl Saima and her parents against the owner of the house where she was detained and his mother.

Saima alleged that her employers beat her and cut off her hair.  She ran off to the neighbour’s house to save her life, who called the police and recorded her statement.

The child maid hails from Rahim Yar Khan reportedly.

Earlier this year, minor maid Tayyaba was allegedly tortured in the house of a judicial officer of the capital.

The case has shocked many in Pakistan after social media images allegedly showing injuries to the girl’s face and hands went viral.

The widely-publicised images of her injuries caught the attention of the Supreme Court, which issued a motion initiating a legal case.
