LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday have suspended, formally charged Batsman Shahzaib Hasan in relation to the Pakistan Super League spot-fixing scandal, Aaj News reported.Â
Shazaib Hassan was summoned before the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) for the third time on Friday, where he was handed a Notice of Charge for violating the PCB’s anti-corruption code.
The board has suspended Shahzaib from all cricketing activities with immediate effect, reports claimed.
Pakistani opener Shahzaib Hasan and lanky fast bowler Muhammad Irfan were previously issued a demand note and by that both were bound to share all the information with PCB anti-corruption unit.
PCB suspended fast bowler Mohammad Irfan in the spot-fixing scandal on March 14. PCB handed over notice of charge to the fast bowler and given him fourteen days to submit his reply.
On Thursday, the Federal Investigation Agency sent notices to cricketers Sharjeel Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif and Muhammad Irfan for their alleged role in spot fixing during PSL 2017.
