WEB DESK: The reports regarding match series between Peshawar Zalmi, champion of Pakistan Super League (PSL) second edition and Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have been denied by both sides, on Thrusday, Aaj News reported.
According to reports, the news was circulating since morning concerning match series at a neutral venue between Peshawar Zalmi and KKR. However, the owner of Zalmi Javed Afridi has confirmed and tweet in this regard that "we always welcome cricket for peace ,but there is no truth about KKRider and Peshawar Zalmi matches just speculations.Verily respect for the cricket.

Moreover, when news broke out, a tweet was shared on KKR official twitter account saying,"KKR won't be playing any unauthorized games/leagues as some false reports are claiming. No such communication happened from our end".

Earlier, it was said that Shahrukh Khan, the Bollywood superstar has suggested organizing a match between Pakistan Super League (PSL) champion Peshawar Zalmi and his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at a neutral venue.
As per a private channel, Shahrukh Khan, the owner of KKR congratulated Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi and offered a match between the winners of T20 champions, if governments of both Pakistan and India permitted.
As per reports, the match can be played in Dubai or London.
Earlier, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has invited Peshawar Zalmi to Afghanistan. The Zalmis Javed Afridi has accepted the invitation.
Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Karzai spoke to Javed Afridi, congratulated him on the victory and on behalf of the president, invited the team to visit Afghanistan. Karzai called Zalmi Khpal (own) team.
The Zalmis lifted the PSL trophy after victory over the Quetta Gladiators by 58 runs on Sunday at Lahore.
