WEB DESK: On occasion of 89th birth anniversary of great Philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, google paid tribute to him.Â
The founder of Pakistan's giant welfare organization, Edhi Foundation was born on 28th February 1928 and moved to Karachi after the partition.
Late Edhi sahab was born in Gujarat district of British-ruled India but as soon as he migrated to Karachi, He soon noticed that many Pakistanis lacked shelter, medicine, education, and other essentials, and was moved to help in any way he could. He began by simply asking others around him to contribute time or money, especially when a flu epidemic hit Karachi. In a 2009 interview with NPR, he said, "I got medical students to volunteer. I was penniless and begged for donations on the street. And people gave.", google says about great Edhi.
Lastly, the greatest man in history of country died on 8th July 2016 but lives amongst heart of his people. He left behind a exceptional example of humanity. Edhi, was not just a man but his entire life was the message, the message of love, affection and an enthusiasm of serving mankind.
