WEB DESK: People consciously or unconsciously saw many things every day. But they did not realize the meaning or details behind them. There are seven things in which some, we all see almost every day but did not pay much attention behind its purpose or history etc. 

Who murdered the King? 

In french deck of cards, the King is strangely depicted. It is said that it is only one without mustache. However, there are other theories linked with it too. As people say that the King of hearts had an ax in his hand but over the centuries while copying went wrong and mistakenly printed King's ax with sword. A different theory stated that this King portrays emotionally disable Charles VII of France who went insane and killed himself by putting his sword through his head because he had have fear of being poisoned. Also, some historians said in this regard that the King represents Ajax the Great who committed suicide when he was rejected by Helen of Troy, the most beautiful women in the world.

The tram's mysterious wires 

The trams have mysterious zigzag wires instead of straight lines. These are actually pantographs which attach trams with their roofs. As the trams move, the pantograph also slide along the wire. The wire does not usually make close to tram's path but in zigzag patterns so that it wears down smoothly.

The British coins

The coins of Britain, one, two, five, ten, twenty and fifty are depicted as sections of the Royal Coat of Arms that together forms a whole shield. Also, the pound coin depicts complete shield of arms on reverse side which is no doubt a mind blowing idea.

Symbols on cosmetic packaging

Have you ever noticed symbols on cosmetic packaging? The little jar opening icon is the symbol of PAO (Period After opening) that tells consumers about the product, and period till it can be utilized and its opening without any harm to the consumer. Moreover, the symbol with a number followed by a letter "M" can be seen on almost every cosmetic product and this graphic number inside the jar tells for how long the product will stay good after unsealing the package.

The statue of liberty 

The famous statue of liberty is surely seen by everyone whether in person or in pictures. But very few have noticed its crown and seven spikes made on it. Also, these seven spikes actually portrays seven oceans, continents and indicates the universal concept of liberty. Another interesting fact interlinked with it is that each spike weighs around 150 pounds.

Blank pages in books 

You may have notice fewer blank pages in books at the beginning or an end. Have you thought why are they even there? It is because book pages are often printed on large sheets of paper and when there is not enough content to fill these sheets, pages left blank. So, publishers usually print different sign or 'Notes' so that readers do not encounter any publishing errors.

Colorful toothpaste 

You must have seen colored stripes on classic toothpastes: white,blue or red. It is because each stripe has different purpose and ingredients. The white color is fluoride, the most valuable ingredient in a toothpaste, that has substances that whiten teeth and treat plaque. The blue is aqua gel with antimicrobial and breath freshening effects. Lastly, the red gel has crucial elements to make gums strong.
