Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Brass mill up-gradation project at Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah today on Monday.Â
After up-gradation, the production capacity of the factory has been enhanced from eight thousand metric tons to twenty-four thousand metric tons.
In the wake of its recent up-gradation Wah Brass is now reckoned to be a major name in brass producing industry of South Asia.
Wah Brass is equipped with state-of the art technology and facilities to set new quality benchmark for the brass products.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also witnessed the brass making in factory. He was briefed by the officials about processing , technology and quality of product being produced in Wah Brass.
Prime Minister hoped that the team of Wah Brass will continue its efforts and play a vital role in the economic augmentation of Pakistan.
On the occasion, the Prime minister announced 25 percent allowance and 2 annual increments for the staff of POF.
Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain and Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chairman Pakistan Ordnance Factories Lt General Umar Mehmood Hayat welcomed Prime Minister on his arrival.
