LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday took notice of imposing a ban on taxi service operating companies Uber and Careem and directed to resolve the matter within 15 days.
According to Punjab government spokesman, on the direction of Chief Minister, taxi service of the companies would continue during this period.
He said on the instructions of the Chief Minister, Transport Department would contact both the companies to fulfill legal demands.
He said both the companies had also been informed to meet necessary legal requirements and Transport Department would take necessary steps and extend all out assistance for registration of these companies.
