ISLAMABAD: A five member larger bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa while hearing Panama Case today stated that it will dispense justice in the case, Aaj News reported,Â
During today's proceedings, the prime minister's counsel Makhdoom Ali Khan requested the court for more time to produce documents related to PM's will and children's gifts. Khan requested time till Monday for submission of the documents.
The court conceded and gave Khan time till Monday to submit the documents.
In his remarks, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said the bench will continue to hear the case till it makes up its mind and that the requirements of justice will be fulfilled.
Justice Khosa made it clear that the bench will not be dictated by the wishes the people.
Earlier, Shahid Hamid, who is also the counsel of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, continued his arguments in the case. He submitted that Ishaq Dar has nothing to do with Panama case.
He said his client who remained in detention in the military regime, was forced to sign the confessional statement in a NAB case. He said that every forum and court has given his client a clean chit in every case.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of case till Monday.
In previous hearing on Thursday, the counsel of Maryam, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz submitted more documents in Supreme Court inclining a second letter signed by Qatari royal Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al-Thani, accompanied by transaction details and auditor’s reports regarding the Gulf Steel Mills in Dubai and the Azizia Steel Mills in Jeddah.
Land acquisition deed for the Gulf Steel Mills in Dubai and a letter verifying the existence of the mills, as well as other documents pertaining to the sale of the Gulf and Azizia mills were also submmited in previous hearing. The documents contained details of Dubai mills and Sharif family’s Park Lane flats in London were also among them.
