Karachi - the 4th cheapest city in the world

Karachi, the largest metropolitan of Pakistan and home to millions have been ranked as one of the cheapest cities to live in on the globe.

According to the latest survey published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Worldwide Cost of Living report 2016. Karachi was ranked as the fourth cheapest city in the world in 2016, sharing the spot with Almaty of Kazakhstan, Algiers of Algeria and India’s Chennai.

The world’s new number one cheapest city for the year 2016, is Lusaka of Zambia. Two Indian cities Bangalore and Mumbai were ranked the 2nd and 3rd cheapest cities respectively.

Karachi scored 44 points on the list, while the score remained unchanged from 2015.

The Pakistan’s economic hub Karachi was previously ranked number 1 on the list of the cheapest cities in the world in 2015, scoring 44 points.
