ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday resumed hearing of Panama Papers Case against the family of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Aaj News reported. 

A five member larger bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, heard the case.

During the hearing, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa remarked that the Supreme Court is a constitutional court, not a trial court.

PTI's lawyer Naeem Bokhari continued his arguments before the court.

Bukhari announced to give points with regards to a money laundering report about Ishaq Dar sent to former president Rafique Tarar, chief justice and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

In response, the court reminded Bokhari that the Panamagate case is restricted to the London flats. He urged to respect and maintain dignity of the top court.

PTI’s Bukhari again talked about the ownership of London flats said that they belonged to the Sharif family.

In his remarks, Justice Khosa said that he does not want to go into political matters. Justice Khosa further clarified, “To prove corruption is not our job.”

The top court told the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to knock on the doors of accountability courts if it wishes to receive a judgement on the basis of National Accountability Bureau investigations.

Later, SC adjourned hearing of Panamagate case till Wednesday (Tomorrow).

During the course of proceedings on Monday, the bench noted that the case is one of its own kind, therefore, it is totally examining the nature of all aspects. The bench said that the decision will be taken in accordance with the spirit of law and constitution. It said our objective is to reach the whole truth of the matter.
