HUB: A fire erupted in a ship parked at plot 60 on Thursday at the Gadani ship-breaking yard in Hub, Aaj News reported.

Rescue and firefighting teams have been deployed to the shipyard reportedly. According to rescue sources, labourers have been take out from the ship.

The district administration said that the fire is under control and no casualties have been reported.

Last month in November, at least 26 people lost their lives and more than 50 others were wounded in the incident when a gas cylinder exploded and started a fire inside an oil tanker at the Gadani yard.

A high-level committee was also formed by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to investigate the causes of the fire.
