WEB DESK: Banning Indian movies in Pakistan turned out to be a good opportunity for other film industries as Turkish and Iranian movies are all ready to screen in Pakistani Cinemas. Â
The major step has been taken to restore situation of cinema as it was only dependent on Indian movies and the local distributors have started formal contracts with in Turkey and Iran, claimed sources.
Earlier, Turkish dramas are already famous in Pakistan. The dramas 'Ishq -e- Mamnoon' and 'Mera Sultan' have gained massive appreciation and liked by many.
The Executive Director of Pakistan National Institute for Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) Fouzia Saeed said that,"Iranian movies are famous globally and they must be encouraged".
The General Manager Marketing of Pakistan’s Cinepax Cinema, Mohsin Yaseen told IRNA that,"They would love to experiment with Iranian movies as these movies are the best way of cultural exchange".
However, to screen the Turkish and Iranian movies are short term plan to restore the declining situation of cinema. Pakistan is determined to promote its own movies.
