KARACHI : Pakistan People's Party's (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Thursday nominated Sindh senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro as President PPP Sindh chapter. Â
The PPP chief took the decision after long deliberations and consultation with party's senior leaders and Sindh Coordination Committee members.
Khuhro has succeeded Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
Sindh Chief Minister's Adviser on Information, Maula Bakhsh Chandio disclosed this at a press conference of PPP Media Cell.
He was flanked by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Minister for Agriculture Sohail Anwar Sayal, Adviser to CM on labour Senator Saeed Ghani and other party leaders.
Chandio paid rich tribute to former PPP Sindh president and ex-chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah for his untiring support.
Speaking on the occasion, Murad Ali Shah said that though he is a born political worker and associated with the PPP but he started taking active participation in politics in 2002 and at that time, Khuhro was the parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly.
The CM said he had learnt a lot from PPP's two seniors, Syed QaimAli Shah and Nisar Ali Khuhro and had great respect for them as his teachers.
Addressing the press conference, newly elected  Khuhro said that his leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has laid huge responsibility on his shoulders by making him the the PPP Sindh Chapter President.
