The death toll from clashes between the PTI and ANP workers reached to five as one more injured succumbed to his injuries at hospital on Saturday.
Four people including a PTI councillor had lost their lives during clashes between activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Awami National Party (ANP) in Mardan on Friday, police said.
The deadly clash happened in Hoti area of Mardan when PTI rally came under fire. According to Faisal Shahzad, District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan, four people, three of them ANP workers, were killed as a result of clash.
The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment. According to reports, another injured was also in critical condition.
