ISLAMABAD: Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police, Zulfiqar Ahamd Cheema Monday said that a subject comprising traffic rules and road safety concepts would be included in the curriculum of primary and matriculation levels as a compulsory subject.
In a statement issued here, he informed that the request to include subject related to road safety and traffic rules in the curriculum had been already accepted by all provincial governments.
Zulfiqar Cheema said that children and youth awareness programme about traffic laws and concepts of road safety would be beneficial and would have positive and long-lasting effects.
The subject of road safety is incorporated in school curriculum of all developed countries, he added.
