KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday confirmed charge on the Rangers Personnel by rejecting the appeals in Sarfaraz Murder Case.
The court announced its earlier reserved judgement. It cleared all the charges from Lance Naik Liaquat Ali and charged constable Shahid Zafar with death penalty.
The court also rejected the compromising agreement of victim's family forgiving all the blames and charges against the convicts in the name of God.
This case was headed by Justice Sajjad Ali Shah in May, 2013. It is pertinent to know that Sarfaraz was shot twice by the Rangers personnel on June, 2011 and was left in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park. The Rangers claimed to have killed him in an encounter, but a footage broadcast by a private TV channel became a proof of this killing.
