Eight people gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: At least eight people including two policemen and a City Wardens Inspector were gunned down in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

Two traffic wardens were killed in Sohrab Goth area when unknown MEN opened fire on a police post near Al-Asif Square. The deceased were identified as Wali Muhamamd and Allah Ditta.

Two gunmen opened fire on Rangers’ Wing Commander Vehicle and tried to flee. However, paramilitary soldiers chased the attackers and arrested them after exchange of fire.

Both the accused were injured in the shootout. The Rangers sources said that both the attackers were residents of Moosa Lane area of Lyari.

Two bodies were found in Gulshan-e-Bihar area of Orangi Town while two alleged gangsters were shot dead in a Rangers encounter.
