Eid Milad un Nabi started with 21 canon salutes

LAHORE/PESHAWAR: Pakistan Army started the celebration of Eid Milad un Nabi by giving 21 canon salutes.

Pakistan's Army military unit fired 21 canon shots from Fortress Stadium Lahore. These same shots were roared at Peshawar Jinnah Park after Fajar Prayer.

Eid Milud un Nabi is a day of acknowledgement of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) birthday. This particular day comes in the month Rabi-ul-Awal; which is the third day of Islamic calendar. This particular day is celebrated by all the followers of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) (muslims) all over the world in the light to follow his given faith and teachings.

This day which has been announced as a public holiday already begin with specific security measures; whereas special prayers also took place early in the morning for development, peace, unity and brotherhood in the country.

Strict security measures have been taken in order to avoid any mishap to occur. Thousands of extra security men have been deployed on duties within the country. Mobile phone services throughout the country will remain suspended for a day. The signals dropped down from 6 am and they will reopen around 12 pm at midnight.

A myriad of special programs, congregations, processions, and other events have been organized for this special day.

All major government and private buildings, residential plazas, markets, mosques, roundabouts have been illuminated with colorful decorative lighting.
