KASHMORE: Three women, who were being chased by the police jumped in River Indus along with five children; while the body of one child has been found from the river. Search for other bodies continued in the Kacha areas on Monday.
Police said that a raid was conducted on a tip-off for the arrest of a proclaimed offender, Imdad Bhangwar, which triggered these three women and forced them to run from their guilt charges. To avoid being arrested, these three women jumped along with their five children in River Indus. The divers retrieved a body of a child named Asif, 6, while the search for other seven victims is in process.
Police said that the proclaimed offender and his two associates had killed Thul police constable a month ago, but in the absence of the accused and his associates, the women in fear escaping their arrest jumped into the river along with the children.
