KARACHI: Sindh government has decided to impose a ban on pillion riding from midnight tonight till jan 15 in Karachi because of security issues for the occasion of 12thRabi-ul-Awal, Aaj news reported.
According to sources, Sindh government is also considering to suspend cellular services on 12thRabi-ul-Awal.
Like always, the ministry of interior feared that terrorists may use mobile phones to detonate explosive devices and communicate with each other to organize attacks.
A notification regarding the ban has been issued by the Sindh Home Department which also states that carrying licensed weapons during these days will also be prohibited.
Moreover, Under the Section 144, pillion riding, use and display of weapons and use of any kind of fireworks have been banned.
