’Appointments in IHC made as par rules’

"The Islamabad High Court terms and conditions of Service Rules, 2011" empower the Chief Justice to make any recruitment/ appointment as deemed fit and necessary for smooth running of the officials business in the public interest," said Additional Registrar Establishment of Islamabad High Court.

The Chief Justice is not bound to get permission from any executive authority, said spokesman of High Court.

It has been noticed with disconcert that for the last few months, some elements have started a fallacious propaganda of vilifying Islamabad High Court by publishing stories with distorted facts.

The move is an attempt to defame this court and tarnish its image.

In fact, the report being referred is the "Internal Inspection Report of the Islamabad High Court", which has already been addressed and rectified, therefore, reference to the said report without ascertaining its veracity, is uncalled for.

This is being raised by such elements, whose personal interests are probably not being fulfilled for extracting gains out of this institution.

All the news items/programmes made by a segment of print and electronic media are in violation of Section 8 (a)(b)(c) of the Freedom of Information Ordinance, 2002, being based on incorrect facts, highly contradictory and are strongly repudiated/rebutted.
