RAWALPINDI: Some unknown persons gunned down a local college professor on Wednesday here.

Police said that some unknown motorbike riding armed persons opened fire on Professor Imrani of Hashmat Ali College and killed him on the spot on Faruque Road here.

Students enraged over the brutal killing started protesting and voiced slogans.

Security officials arriving at the scene have started investigations.
