Musharraf should not be allowed to leave Pakistan, best treatment will be provided here

ISLAMABAD: A petition was filed to the Islamabad High Court today seeking ban on former president Pervez Musharraf’s exit from Pakistan.

The former military ruler is under treatment in Rawalpindi’s Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) for heart problem. He was taken to the hospital with chest pains on Wednesday while on his way to face treason charges in a special court.

He remained under intense care yesterday, however, his condition is said to be stable today.

Today, a petition was filed to the IHC. Impleading Interior Minister, Secretary Interior, IG Islamabad and DIG Security as respondents, the petitioner stated that best medical treatments be provided to the former army chief in Pakistan and that he should not be allowed to leave the country.
