Retired judge Justice Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim, who was chosen by a parliamentary committee for the key Chief Election Commissioner’s position, has said that he would accept the responsibility if given the opportunity.

Outside the Supreme Court Justice Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim (R) said," My appointment hasn't been made for now, the day I will become Election Commissioner the doors of the court will be closed for me."

He added that there is no difference between Pakistan and India except transparent elections. India have better situation then Pakistan due to fair and free  elections process.

The nominated Chief election commissioner said that EC post is a challenge for me, media should help in administrating free and independent elections.

He further added that the time of election will be decided by Prime Minister. However if we want to save the country then fresh and fair elections are mandatory.

Fakher Uddin also said that looking at the condition of Pakistan brings tears in my eyes.

Rejecting the dual nationality bill in Parliament he said "those who seek other country for shelter should not be allowed to hold membership of parliament, constitution and law do not have any permeability for this.

Replying a question he termed Contempt law as insensible which will only provide space for more corruption. It requires four fakhruddin to understand this contempt bill, its beyond my mind, he said.
