Other than few in Urdu his songs were usually in Sindhi, which were always revolving around Sufism unconditional devotion having an aura of simplicity. For his services to folk music and culture, Allan Faqeer was awarded 'Pride of Performance' by Government of Pakistan, the Shahbaz Award, the Shah Latif Award and Kandhkot Award. He breathed his last on July 4, 2000 at age of 68.
One of his famous songs includes duet with Mohammad Ali Sheiky -‘Allah Allah ker bhaiya’ and ‘Itne Bare Jeevan Saagar Mein’ are the ones still being loved by all.
