Six-month-old baby dies after rape in Indian city of Agra

According to a report from the Press Trust of India (PTI), the infant girl was taken from her home by a 26-year-old man named Lohare, who was a neighbour of the family and was a frequent visitor at their house. On Monday night, the accused took the baby out and never came back without it, to which the family of the little girl went out in search for it. After hours of search the family filed a report with the police department, holding the 26 year old Lohare responsible.
On Tuesday, the six-month-old infant's body was found near a neighbouring village. It is believed that her death was caused by excessive loss of blood, police said.
Expressing anger over this grotesque ordeal, the villagers staged a protest,  against the incompetency of the Police department and blocked the highway. The blockade was lifted after an order was issued for the suspension of Kukhthala police station in-charge.
However, the accused rapist, Lohare, still remains at large.
