The little girl Sobia was working as a maid for over a year but was unable to give clear information about her employers and her residence.

The ten year old was battered and beaten near death by her employers. Her limbs and arms were broken; she has received severe injuries to the head during the assault and she had burn marks all over her body.

The battered girl was found lying on the street by an Edhi worker, who dispatched her to the Civil hospital.

Talking to Aaj news, MS civil hospital said the girl will be kept under observation for next 24hours because she has got critical injuries on her head.

The little girl is currently under Child Protection Bureau (CPB) of Gujranwala.

The whereabouts of her family are still unknown but the police have started looking for them and the people who employed her.
