According to Sources, Khushnood Lashari, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, wrongfully used his authority in the ephedrine case.
Sources further added that Khushnood Lashari, after receiving instructions from the health minister, asserted pressure on the sub-ordinate officials of the department.
Sources have reported that the Anti-Narcotics Force’s (ANF) investigation with the PM’s Principal Secretary has concluded; further adding that Khushnood Lashari was unable to convince the ANF investigation officer, Brig. Fahim Ahmed Khan.
Earlier, Musa Gilani submitted a plea in the Supreme Court, urging a replacement for Brig. Fahim (ANF's investigation officer). The plea was rejected by the Supreme Court further instructing Fahim to carry out a transparent investigation in the case.
