NOWSHERA: Two training aircrafts of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) collided with each other earlier on Thursday, killing four pilots and injured eleven others including seven children and women in Nowshera, Aaj news reported.
According to the details, Two PAF aircrafts were on their routine training near Rashkai area of Nowshera, when suddenly collide with each other killing two pilots and co-pilots. Among them, Squadron leaders Syed Masood Rizvi and Zaigham Abbas were instructors and flight lieutenant Mustafa and squadron leader Moazzam were trainee pilots.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
One of the two-seater propeller Mushshak planes crashed on a house, injuring a girl and an elderly man, and the second fell in nearby fields in the Rashkai area, 160 kilometres (100 miles) northwest of the capital.
“Two PAF trainer aircraft collided mid-air. Four pilots were killed, two were trainee pilots and two were instructors,†district police officer Mohammad Hussain said.
The injured were later shifted to the CMH hospital by the local residents and airforce rescue teams reached the spot.
