"Lenovo" to invest $800mn in mobile devices

Lenovo wants to get involved with an advanced world of smart-phones and tablets, promising that several thousand employees at the new base in Wuhan (China), will focus on new mobile devices for both China and overseas.

Lenovo currently offered some mobile devices, including its LePhone smart-phones and its ThinkPad tablets (pictured). Reports have shown that the company shipped 6.5 million handsets and 40,000 tablets globally.

Last year, Lenovo generated maximum sales and became the world’s number two player in the category next to Hewlett-Packard. Lenovo was the number two seller of tablets in China last year next to Apple.
