ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari convened a meeting at the President House on Friday in order to have a word regarding the law and order situation prevailing within the country with special reference to Lyari.
Sources state that Zardari was firm with respect to his stance against criminal operation within Lyari and other areas of Pakistan. "No compromise or soft hand would be given to people involved in criminal activities".
According to sources, Qaim Ali Shah, Murad Ali Shah, Nadir MAgsi, Agha Siraj Durrani and other members of the Sindh cabinet were called upon for the meeting.
The Lyari operation was the core issue to be discussed within the meeting and the President clearly stated that operation against criminals would be carried out as usual.
With respect to coalition parties, Zardari said that the reconciliation policy would continue and that all coalition partner would be consulted before any major decision.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Aslam Raisani, also met the President in order to discuss the law and order situation within the province of Balochistan.
