Reports have indicated that the former Law Minister does not hold the offices of the finance secretary or the senior vice-president-ship.

This deprivation has been deemed to  be a response from the PPP to show their dis-content with Awan over his refusal to testify in the contempt of court hearing against Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.

Awan was to appear in the court to testify in favor of the PM, on Aitzaz Ahsan's request before the court; but the former law minister decline to do so.

It has further been learned that the former law minister would not be appearing in any of PPP's Central Executive Committee meetings.
