SC adjourns hearing of Asghar khan petition

According to the sources, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry directed the Intelligence Bureau (IB) to produced evidences of misuse of Rs. 270 million.

While the Intelligence bureau submitted the report regarding the Dissolution  of Punjab government.

As the proceedings resumed today, Attorney general Irfan Qadir informed that reports of investigation commission has been misplaced so unable to produce it before the court. CJP remarked that those reports were worth important if its misplaced then you should register a theft case.

Chief Justice also said that submission of report was responsibility of the Secretary for Interior. If reports are not made available, the court would issue an order for registration of case and the Secretary for Interior would be called to the court in this regard.

The bench of apex court is headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and comprising justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Tariq Parvez.

During the previous hearing, The court directed the Intelligence Bureau (IB) director general to file his written statement on April 23 about utilisation of Rs 270 million withdrawn by the government from IB's secret fund allegedly to topple the provincial government in 2009.
