Expressing grief, the President directed the Defence Minister that a comprehensive inquiry be held at the earliest so as to find reasons that led to such a tragic incident and to avoid recurrence of such tragedies.

He said the affected families be ensured all possible facilitation in transportation of the bodies to their places.

The President, while expressing his sympathies, prayed to Almighty to grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the huge loss with fortitude.

It is important to note that, the PIA and other airlines were still charging fares from the families of  plane crash victims after the assurance of president for the free transportation.
