PM Gilani’s aircraft forced into emergency landing

An aircraft carrying the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had to make an emergency landing at the Chaklala base in Rawalpindi, on Tuesday.

The aircraft shortly after taking off towards Sukkur, faced some technical defects which forced the captain to conduct an emergency landing on the Chaklala air base in the Garrison town of Rawalpindi.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by a few cabinet ministers and his fellow party members including Firdous Ashiq Awan and Governor Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Masood Kausar.

The Prime Minister and his entourage were moved to another aircraft as they resumed flight towards Sukkur in another plane.

The Prime Minister will address the Central Executive Committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Larkana and Naudero and participate in events organised to remember the party founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on his death anniversary.
