GM railway on 14-days physical remand

Earlier, NAB officials produced Saeed Akhtar  before the court and sought physical remand to investigate the matter.

However, the defence counsel opposed the request saying that the accused had a clean past and not involved in corruption.

Accountability Court Lahore-III Judge Ali Hassan Rizvi after hearing the arguments handed over the accused to NAB officials. The court accepted the application of defence and allowed Saeed Akhtar's family to meet him.

A special cell constituted by NAB to investigate corruption cases in PR had arrested Akhtar for misuse of authority and alleged involvement in a scrap scandal.
