Police sources said, The ex president and his son Ali Haider were shot dead by some unknown assailants on the way to their work earlier today. Both the persons were immediately shifted to the hospital but they could not survive.

The police also added that investigation of the murder was underway.

While Chief justice Sindh high court took notice of the incident and summons an immediate report.
Whereas, lawyers association called a strike on March 26 and nationwide protest against the incident.
