Opposition to continue constitutional struggle: Nisar

Talking to media outside Parliament House he said, the basic purpose of protesting during the joint session was to show solidarity with the people of the country. By lodging protest during President's speech we made an effort to highlight problems of the people, he said.

He said the PML-N had decided in principal not to hold negotiations with the government adding that his party had cooperated with the government on 20th amendment for ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

To a question, he said he had no personal differences with former Chief of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) General (r) Ahmed Shuja Pasha. After the retirement of General Pasha a revolutionary party has become orphan, he said.

He said the PML-N had been cooperating with the PPP because the later came into power after winning general elections.

He also criticized Muttahida Quomi Movement (MQM) saying their policies were not fair.

Responding to a question he said, the PML-N had completed home work regarding the nomination of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). The list of the nominated people would be shared with the government soon, he added.
