Kohistan killings: “foreign hands” involved, says Malik

Senator Rehman Malik has announced the capture of 5 alleged suspects who are believed to be involved in the Kohistan killing incident. AajNews reported.

Speaking to the media, Malik said that a "foreign hand" was involved in this hate crime.

Few weeks ago, at least 18 people were gunned down in a passenger van near Harban area of Kohistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on their way to Gilgit. Gunmen dressed as army personnel stopped the travel bus and shot the victims on  sectarian grounds.

Malik, who had announced a full on investigation of the incident, said that the investigation unit has identified five suspect responsible for the massacre.

“The joint investigation team has accomplished its inquiry to unmask the offenders, and we have tracked them down, few locals and some foreign hands were also found involved in the attack,”  he said.

After the incident, number  of national flights between Islamabad and Gilgit have been raised, so that travelling is safer for people who feel victimized.
