She was greeted with cheer and warmth as she walked out of the airport.

The Pakistani born and raised Sharmeen won her first Oscar for her documentary "Saving Face", which is about female acid attacks victim and their struggle to cope with it and a doctor who is helping them in recovering their faces.

She expressed her happiness of returning home by thanking the nation for the all the support and glory and said that Oscars has reached Pakistan now.

She will address the media in a press conference, later today.
